Default Selling art: Allowed, or no?

Referring to selling art (IE: Guild banners, signatures) for in-game currency or items. Is that allowed or not?

I read through the ToS... but didn't find anything covering this topic. :c

I feel that I remember for the longest time there were many people selling commissioned art for in-game gold. I think Gaile was asked about it then, and the official word was that, if someone reported it, there could be a temporary suspension, which would escalate to a bannable offense with repeat offences. The reasons why were outlined, but I can't recall what they were.

To be honest, I don't think they'd enforce it even if reported. Commissions are fun, and promote community with fan art.

I don't think they enforce it or even care for that matter, seeing as how frequent commissions are over at the Nolani board.

But if there is an actual rule stating that they're ban-worthy, then that's something I sure didn't know about. And I'm sure a lot of other people would also be in the dark as well.

commissioned artwork frequents the Nolani section. as far as I know no one has been so much as warned about it, and I dont see why they would.

Unless you are using GW trademarked logos, ArenaNet doesn't care. This forum site allows you to sell commissioned art (drawings, digital art, sigs, avatars, etc.) as long as you keep it to the correct forum (Nolani). It is your choice for payment methods, although you would get more business with in-game gold.
